Scanning from the HP Officejet 4650 printer is a quick and easy way to complete the scanning jobs. You can also adjust the size, color, quality settings, and scan from computer using the features in software you installed.

Before Scanning from your printer makes sure that your computer has installed the HP Officejet 4650 printer software.

Load the document or photo to scan:

Step 1: Turn on the HP Officejet 4650 Pinter.

Step 2: To scan the photo place the original photo upside down on the scanner glass.

Step 3: After placing the document paper on the scanning glass position it according to the carve guides around the glass.

Step 4: Close the lid of the scanner.

Scan the document or photo using the printer control panel:

Step 1: On the HP Officejet 4650 printer’s control panel select the option Scan.

Step 2: Then select the name of the computer which displays on the panel where you want to save the photo or document.

Step 3: To save your document there are several options in the settings like PDF, OCR, jpeg, email as PDF, etc.

·         To save as PDF: You cannot edit the text document in word processing program.

·         To save as editable Text (OCR): You can edit the text document in word processing program.

·         To save as JPEG: The photos and images that can be saved as jpeg.

·         Email as PDF: This will automatically attach the non editable scanned text document to an email message.

·         Email as JPEG: This option will automatically attach the scanned images or photos to an email message.

Step 4: After selecting the option click OK, then the HP Officejet 4650 printer will scan the images or document and save it to the destination which you have specified in the settings.

Change the scan settings in windows:

You can change the scan settings for HP Officejet 4650 printer using the control panel in windows 10, windows 7, and windows 8

Step 1: Open/Search for the HP folders in your installed software programs.

Step 2: Click the folder for your HP Officejet 4650 printer and then the HP Printer Assistant software opens.

Step 3: Select the option Scan a Document or photo.

Step 4: Dialog box appears on the left side window, select the shortcut based on what you are scanning.

Step 5: With the shortcut highlighted, select your preferences like page size, color mode, destination.

    Step 6: Advance setting can be changed by clicking more.

    Step 7: Once you select the settings save setting icons.
