In advance to starting this 123.hp.com/setup 8710, make sure that all wires and cables that you are going to use for this are either new or in really good working condition. Although this is a traditional technique, it is easier to troubleshoot and that is the reason many people still prefer this.
  • Arrange the following devices carefully – the new printer, computer/laptop and a router connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable
  • Use Ethernet cables to connect the router 1 to the printer and your computer/laptop
  • From the start menu, select the Printer and Scanners option and choose the name of your printer
  • Make sure that you download the relevant software and follow the instructions that appear on your computer/laptop to complete the setup process

  • Make a note of your home network and the corresponding password for the same network

  • The router needs to be used to connect the printer and the computer/laptop
  • The printer should not have any Ethernet or USB cables connected to it
  •  The printer has a wireless icon which needs to be selected to proceed further
  • Open the Setup menu and choose the Wireless Setup Wizard from the Wireless settings option
  • You will see a list of all available networks and you need to choose yours
  • If your network does not appear on that list, then choose Enter New Network Name option
  • Make sure that you download the relevant software and follow the instructions that appear on your computer/laptop to complete the setup process.
