Troubleshooting issues in HP printer when it turns off repeatedly or unexpectedly?

Steps to change the energy settings:
All your HP Printer is designed to reduce low consumption of power when the printer is not in use. There are the options on the printer like auto power off or scheduled on or off. This enables the printer to turn off after 2 hours if the printer is inactive.
- If you again want to use the printer you must turn on the HP Printer by pressing the power button.
- Check the scheduled on and off or auto power off features on the printer’s control panel or by the software installed.
- Locate the setup menu on the control panel menu and click the energy settings.
- Then click the preferences option and follow the on-screen instructions for the setting.
- Click the energy settings from the printer software.
- Select the HP printer from the list and HP Printer Assistant opens.
- Double click the option Maintain your Printer.
- Then click the advanced settings tab and you can now change the settings by following the on-screen instructions.
Steps for restarting the HP Printing:
- By restarting the printer it may reduce the connective error.
- Turn the HP Printer on.
- Wait for few minutes till the printer gets silent.
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for few seconds and again connect the printer.
- Steps for updating your HP printer firmware software.
- Check whether your printer is turned on and connected to the computer.
- Connect your computer through USB cable or local network.
- Download the firmware software for your printer.
- In the case of firmware software is not listed then the updated software is not available for your Printer.
- Click the option Use HP Download and Install Assistance and click next.
- After installing, the updated HP printer windows appear and check whether the serial number is displayed.
- If the serial number is displayed then click update.
- If the serial number is displayed but the status is not applicable then cancel the update.
- When the update is completed click OK.
Directly plug the printer into the wall outlet:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer power cord from the power strip.
- Check whether the power cord is damaged; if so contact the HP to replace it.
- Wait for 30 seconds and then connect your printer directly to the wall outlet.
- Turn on the HP printer.
- Service your HP printer:
- Service or replace your HP printer if you still have the issue.
